The Wah-Nee Story............(in brief)!!!
Well!!! Where do I begin.............back in late 1998 I decided to apply to BUNAC (British Universities North America Club ) for a job as a Scuba Instructor at a summer camp in the USA. I was extremely fortunate to be placed at one of the greatest places possible - Camp Wah-Nee in Torrington, Connecticut. What an awesome place! Words cannot describe what goes on there. Life has not been the same since. Over the next 5 years I spent 4 fabulous summers at Wah-Nee as a counsellor working with some excellent staff from round the world.
In 1999 I had the Sophmore 1 boys division (9-10yr olds) in Bunk 8. I returned in 2000 with the same group, now as Sophmore 2's. I was unable to return to Wah-Nee in 2001, but managed to get back in 2002 to join the new Sophmore 1 group, moving up with them as Sophmore 2's in 2002. Sadly it doesn't look like I'll return to Wah-Nee for another summer but I have a lot of great memories and photos, and of course a lot of Wah-Nee friends from round the world.
